Snow Driving and Wheel Chains:

If you're driving to Mt Buller and staying overnight, you will need to carry wheel chains by law. If you're visiting for the day, you may or may not need to carry chains depending on snow and road conditions. The daily wheel chain declaration is made each afternoon and is communicated via a number of channels.

If you are required to fit the wheel chains you will be stopped and directed to do so by a parking attendant. Driving in snowy and icy conditions can be very different to regular driving and therefore you need to adjust your driving to stay safe.

Resort Entry Fees and Carparking:

When planning to visit Mt Buller, prebook your resort entry and car parking at www.mtbuller.com.au

You'll know you're nearly at Mt Buller when you reach the Resort entry gates at Mirimbah, at the base of the mountain.

If you are staying overnight you will need to pay for a taxi to transport you from the car parks (which are located 1.5km - 3km below the Mt Buller Village) to your accommodation. Please be sure to book your return taxi (day of check out) at the same time as your arrival taxi (day of check in).

If you're just coming for the day and have no luggage, you can jump on a FREE Village shuttle bus to whisk you up to the Village in a couple of minutes.

PLEASE NOTE THESE ARE NOT FOR OVERNIGHT VISITORS WITH LUGGAGE. More information about taxi fares.
